What to enter

Use the milligrams printed on the vial, not a round number from a forum chart. Compounded tirzepatide shows up as 10 mg, 15 mg, 30 mg, and 60 mg vials. The calculator only works if that number matches the bottle in your hand.

BAC water is the other half. More water means a weaker concentration and more units on the syringe for the same milligrams. Less water is the reverse. Neither is a better protocol. It is just the dilution you chose.

Worked example (30 mg vial)

Vial: 30 mg. BAC water: 3 mL. Concentration: 10 mg/mL.

If the instructions use 2.5 mg, that is 0.25 mL, which is 25 units on a U-100 syringe (100 units = 1 mL).

If they use 5 mg, that is 0.50 mL, 50 units. Change the water volume and both numbers move.

When the result is wrong

Wrong vial size. Insulin syringe that is not U-100. A pen that is already liquid, which this does not apply to. A dose written in units from a different dilution than the one you just mixed.
